Queen Amidala wears this kimono-style gown in Senator Palpatine’s office prior to their Senate appeal on the invasion of Naboo.  It consists of a fan-like headdress adorned with an intricate antique lace and strings of pearls.  The sleeves of the kimono have been described as penguin sleeves, and are decorated with metallic golden swirls and antique pearls.  The under-dress is in two layers, with a pleated underskirt of a deep rose/burgundy color , and over-dress consisting of a lavender fabric covered with a crinkled silk gauze-like material.
